Mercy N K Boampong
Chief Executive Officer
Mercy joined Serene Insurance Limited on 1st September 2022 and came on board with a vast industry experience and deep knowledge spanning more than 22 years. Mercy, in her 22-year journey has assumed a number of senior level positions.
Mercy has immense technical and leadership capabilities from her experiences as Chair and active member of several industry technical committees set up to fashion and implement various policy interventions for accelerated economic development and expansion of the insurance industry. These include the Marine Cargo Insurance Committee constituted by the NIC to come up with the minimum standards and requirements for Marine Cargo Insurances and the modalities for implementation and, also the Resolution Committee at the 2016 WAICA Educational Conference in Sierra Leone. Others include the Motor Technical Committee of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA) which worked on the 2010 and 2015 Motor Tariffs, ECOWAS Brown Card (Ghana National Bureau) Technical Committee, Planning Committee of the 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Council of Bureau, ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme among others, Motor Insurance Database (MID), Marine Cargo Insurance Database and the Insurance Awareness Campaign Team among others. Mercy also facilitated a workshop on Customs Bonds for staff of the GRA, Customs Division.
Mercy is credited to have mooted the idea of the NIC enforcing Insurers’ purchase of Brown Card Insurance Certificates at the time of purchasing Motor Insurance Stickers from the Commission and facilitated a number of sensitization programmes on the importance and benefits of taking a local Marine Cargo Insurance in Cape Coast, Takoradi, Koforidua and Aflao, an NIC and Ghana Shippers’ Authority collaboration to educate the shipping fraternity on the benefit of taking local marine cargo insurance.
Mercy has attended a number of technical and leadership courses locally and international. These include various Underwriting, Claims and Reinsurance Courses organized both home and abroad, a C-Suite Leadership Programme under the LeapFrog Talent Accelerator, Managerial and Leadership Training Course at the Swiss Insurance Training Centre (SITC), Swiss Re, Zurich, Switzerland, RSA Global Network Training in Belgium, PRINCE2 Agile Project Management, a number of industry workshops e.g. Annual Zonal Meetings, AGMs and Council of Bureau Meetings of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
Mercy is a fellow of the Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG), an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (ACII), holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (Marketing Option), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secretaryship
Mercy was recently elected and awarded as one of the Top 50 Women in Insurance in Africa at the 48th Annual General Meeting of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) and the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Organization, in recognition for her invaluable contribution to the growth of the Insurance Industry.

Theo Nii Adjei Oninku
Chief Finance Officer
Theo Nii Adjei Oninku is the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Serene Insurance, a member of the First Sky Group and assumes the role with extensive experience in providing leadership in Audit, Finance, Investment & Treasury Management, Accounting, Business Advisory and Project Management Across Specialized Industries Including Banking, Manufacturing and Insurance Sectors in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Lebanon and UK.
Prior to joining Serene Insurance, Mr. Oninku was the Finance Manager at Activa International for over seven years where he was involved in business and investment advisory, treasury management, financial planning, corporate and regulatory reporting. He also acted as the Finance Manager for Activa Sierra Leone where he provided technical support and training.
Theo’s background in Auditing began with Accounting Associates and then he moved to BakerTilly Andah & Andah where he acquired his skills and knowledge in external, forensic and assurance audits.
He was seconded to Sanita Consumer Products Ltd, where he provided support in finance and administration for the construction and installation of the first baby and adult diaper manufacturing plant in Ghana
He was made the substantive Finance and Administrative Manager after the project was completed and was also involved in developing markets for the products in Ghana, Togo and Nigeria.
His area of expertise spans compliance of internal controls and implementation of effective enterprise resource planning systems to ensure business continuity, Trainer for Corporate and Financial Reporting, and leading statutory external and tax audits as required by the Ghana Revenue Authority.
He is a Finance Technologist with certification in Digital Innovation in Finance (CertDif, UK) and a Certified Corporate Treasury Analyst, (UK). He is also an expert in corporate financial modeling in building forecasts and cash flows.
His professional membership includes the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG).
He holds masters of Business Administration (MBA) Finance and Strategy from KNUST and a bachelors in Commerce (Bcom) from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds certifications in Transfer Pricing, Power and Disruptive Technologies, Corporate Governance, Bonds and Financial Guarantees, Reinsurance Accounting among others.

Michael Dodzi Agbleke
General Manager, Technical
Michael Dodzi Agbleke is General Manager, Technical and brings to the Serene Insurance management team a strong working background in underwriting, claims management, reinsurance, pre & post-loss risk survey, enterprise risk management, sales & marketing.
He is responsible for overseeing everyday operations and functions of the technical operations of the company and assumes the role with over twenty-three (23) years’ experience in the Ghanaian insurance industry.
Prior to joining Serene Insurance Company Limited, he was the Deputy General Manager, Operations of RegencyNem Insurance Ghana Limited. Michael worked with Regency Alliance Insurance Limited Ghana as the Head of Operations. He also worked with Quality Insurance Company Limited and Donewell Insurance Company Limited.
Michael has served in various capacities as a manager in Motor, Claims, Reinsurance, Fire and Accident, Sales & Marketing as well as Special & Complex Risks Departments. He has also attended several courses in the field of Insurance and Risk Management both in Ghana and abroad.
He holds a Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management from West African Insurance Institute, College of Insurance and Risk Management from Banjul- The Gambia, a Bachelor of Arts- Laws from the University of London- London Advanced Applied Insurance Studies Diploma from Ghana Insurance College and Malta as well as a Master of Science Business Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), London. In addition, he is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG).

Nana Y. O. Dwomoh
General Manager, Business Development & Marketing
Nana Yaw Owusu Dwomoh is General Manager- Business Development and Marketing of Serene Insurance with the responsibility to derive business growth in the market share of the company as the fastest-growing insurance firm in Ghana
Nana Dwomoh has over 18 years of industry experience having begun his career with SIC Insurance as an officer and moved on to the then International Energy Insurance as Head of Reinsurance and Statistics.
He later joined Donewell Insurance where he rose through the ranks and held different positions including Head of Reinsurance, Head of Underwriting, Head of Claims and Head of Oil and Gas & Special Risk. Prior to joining Serene Insurance, Nana Dwomoh was the Head of Operations at Donewell Insurance.
Nana has attended various international trainings and has led reinsurance negotiations both locally and internationally.
He is a member of the Technical Committee on Reinsurance for the Ghana Insurance Association. He is a Chartered Insurer with ACII- UK and ACIIG and holds an MSc in Risk & Insurance and BA in Social Science.

Head of Marketing
Mrs. Eugenia Egyiri-Tettey started her insurance career with SIC Insurance Company Limited and has over 10 years experience in insurance particularly in marketing, underwriting, insurance brokering and claims.
She holds M Phil in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Ghana and Bachelors degree from the same university.

Sampson Quashie holds BSc degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana. He is also a CISCO Certified Network Associate. He started his IT career with Enterprise Insurance and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable in system and network administration.

He started his IT career with Enterprise Insurance and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is highly skilled and knowledgeable in system and network administration. Before joining Serene Insurance, he was the Deputy Head of IT infrastructure and Operations at Enterprise Group
Andrews Nayoni
Head, Human Resource
Mr. Andrews Nayoni is a member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana (CIHRM) and has been practicing human resource management in both public and private institutions for over 20 years.
Until his appointment, he was the Head, People and Corporate Resources of Sanlam General Insurance Company Limited. Mr. Nayoni previously worked as Head of Human Resource of UniCredit Ghana Limited and Head of Human Resource and Administration of SIC Life Trust Finance Limited (now SIC Life Savings and Loans) a subsidiary of SIC Life Company Limited. He also worked with the Ghana Standards Authority where he started his career in human resource management.
Mr. Nayoni holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resource Management from the Hanze University of Applied Science in The Netherlands and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with Philosophy from the University of Ghana.
